Charleston Weekend Recap

It’s no surprise that my favorite city to visit is Charleston, South Carolina. The food, shopping, and history just can’t be beat! My mom and step father are currently buying a vacation home in Charleston, so my mom has been traveling down to the Holy City almost every other week. This weekend though she brought me along, and it was great to get some mother-daughter time in.

Welcome to Bluebonnet Porch…

Welcome to my blog! My name is Clare, and I am a 24 year old living in Raleigh, NC. I’ve started this blog to be a creative outlet for me to express myself outside of my boring 8-5 finance job. Here are a few fun facts about me:

  • I love home decor, fashion, travel, food and fitness.
  • I am an avid crafter! I have 4 different types of sewing machines and more fabric than the average 80 year old woman.
  • I am a dog mom to two adorable (and sometimes frustrating) pups. Corona is a 4 year old black lab and Pete is a 1 year old pitbull mix. They are my favorite creatures on Earth, and I would do anything for them.
  • I am an ACE Certified personal trainer, and workout regularly. I do not currently do any personal training, but it is something I’d like to get back into.
  • I spent my childhood in Texas (hence the blog name, Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas), but I have lived in North Carolina since 2007.
  • I have an amazing boyfriend named Clark who is the most supportive partner I could ask for.
  • I graduated from the University of North Carolina- Wilmington (go Seahawks!) with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Development. My dream is to one day open my own home decor and gift shop!
  • My mom is my style inspiration, and you will probably see a lot of her and her house on the blog.
