I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! I spent the long weekend with my mom in Charleston, South Carolina. My mom and stepfather recently bought a vacation home in Charleston, and this was the first weekend I was able to see the inside of it. I want to share the progress of the house with y’all as it goes through its transformation process.
DIY Affordable Shiplap
2005 was a weird year…
- I was going through my brief “emo” stage (anyone remember Etnies tennis shoes)
- My family won a PS2 from buying so many boxes of fish sticks
- and TVs were apparently the size of large boulders
My Guest Bedroom
Welcome to my guest bedroom! This is by far my favorite room in my house. I have always wanted white bedding because I love how crisp and clean it looks, but I was a naive 20 year old that also really wanted a black lab (whom I love and don’t regret getting at all), so…. I had to settle for darker linens in my master bedroom and white linens in my guest room. I’m excited to share the transformation this room has gone through since moving in a year ago!
How to get the most out of 4 days in Portland, Oregon
Hey y’all!! I just got back from a great family vacation in Portland, Oregon. My dad, brother, and I got to spend 4 days exploring the city and all that it had to offer. However, we did not do as much planning as we would have liked, so we ended up asking locals for their recommendations, which ended up being a blessing in disguise. I decided to share how we spent our limited time in the Northwest!
My Home is a Disaster Zone…
I am currently sitting on a plane to Portland, Oregon, and all I can think about the the disaster zone that is my house back in North Carolina. I moved into this townhouse almost a year ago to the day, and I thought there would be no way that I would move out anytime soon. Well, with 2 dogs constantly making messes and shedding it became apparent very quickly that the flooring in my house was not going to last long.
Charleston Weekend Recap
It’s no surprise that my favorite city to visit is Charleston, South Carolina. The food, shopping, and history just can’t be beat! My mom and step father are currently buying a vacation home in Charleston, so my mom has been traveling down to the Holy City almost every other week. This weekend though she brought me along, and it was great to get some mother-daughter time in.
