On November 10, 2022, my precious boyfriend became my fiancé! To say I’m excited is an understatement! I cannot wait to marry my best friend!
[Read more…]Party Planning 101: Tips and for Your Next Celebration: Part 1 Picking a Theme
So you are throwing a party but not sure where to start? Well lucky for you, I have found a passion in party/event planning in my post pandemic life and I’ve picked up a few tricks along the way. The easy (usually) part is figuring out a reason to have a party; usually this is based around a holiday or major life event. In the past 2 years, I’ve thrown an engagement party, birthday parties, Halloween parties, Christmas parties, a bachelorette party and a few random themed parties just for fun.
[Read more…]My Top 5 Tips to Make Your Overnight Guests More Comfortable
It’s almost that time of year where houseguests are common, so it’s a good time to make sure your guest room(s) and bathroom are prepped and ready for any friends and family. I seem to always have guests staying at my house, so I’ve really gotten the hang of making my guest room as inviting as possible! It goes way beyond clean sheets and towels (but those are important too)! Here are the top 5 things I’ve done to make my guest room feel like a home away from home.

I don’t know if anyone remembers when I re-did my downstairs primary bathroom right when I moved into my house (you can see it here), but my decor was very white and was very trendy. I loved how that renovation looked when I first finished it, and it meant so much since my dad and I did it together 100% on our own. However, as time has gone on it started to feel a little sterile and storage was a real struggle. Not only is this my main bathroom that I use every day, but it is also the bathroom guests use when they’re over as it is the only downstairs bathroom. I don’t think you can talk to anyone and say they are in the same place that they were in two years ago, and I’m no different. I have been through tons of life changes including buying my first home, starting a new relationship, accepting a promotion at work and having to balance a new work life balance, and just living life. I started this blog to document all of the changes I made in my first big girl house, but now that I am in a new home that I own, I have found it extremely hard to prioritize documenting all of the changes I have made. However, I’ve realized these are the most important things for me to be documenting and I don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to share these projects and have them documented for me to look back on. So here I am making an effort to start sharing more, and I hope that you will join me on this journey!! You may notice things start to look a little different around here as I give my website a much needed facelift, but I’ll be back with more posts and I have a lot to catch y’all up on!!
