Happy Thanksgiving week, everyone! If you haven’t already started Christmas shopping, it’s probably about time to start. I love that I am now at the age that my friends are all buying houses and I can buy gifts for their homes, which for me, is much easier than buying any other type of gifts. I thought I’d share some of my favorite home products that would make great gifts for anyone! [Read more…]
7 Steps to Decorate Your Christmas Tree
The Christmas tree is the heart of most Christmas decor. I always have at least 2 full sized trees in my house, one for my basement and one for my living room. In my basement, I use a faux tree I bought on Black Friday 4 years ago; I paid $15 for it, and it looks rough. It may be my last year using it, but I do my best to cover up how awful the tree is. I alway get a real tree for my living room, and cannot get that until the week of Thanksgiving or else I’ll kill it. This blog post will be based on the faux tree in my basement, but I decorate my other tree the exact same way. I will be sure to share photos of all of my trees in the next few weeks. [Read more…]
My New Bar Cart (and How I Styled it for Thanksgiving)
When I first moved into my house, the first thing I bought was a “bar cart.” I shared it in my Halloween Bar Cart post, but it wasn’t actually a bar cart at all. It was a utility cart I bought at TJ Maxx and just styled to be a bar cart. Well, I recently sold my old kitchen island that had storage for my wine glasses, so I needed to come up with a new storage plan for those. I am lacking cabinet space because I’m [Read more…]

Simple Gold Thanksgiving Tablescape!
Hi Everyone! To prove that I didn’t forget about Thanksgiving I thought I would share my Thanksgiving tablescape. I struggled to find inspiration for a smaller round dining table, but I am pretty happy with how mine turned out.
I wanted to keep the centerpiece simple, so that I would have room for all of the place settings without the table feeling too crowded. I actually re-used the hurricane jar I had on my corner shelf in my living room (see my Fall Decor post) as the centerpiece. Since it fit the gold and white theme, it was perfect and didn’t take up too much space! My place settings are also super simple with just a gold pumpkin used as decor. The placemats are from At Home and the napkins are from the Opal House collection at Target. They were actually in the Christmas section, but they were perfect for this project. I think the key to decorating a round table is to use circular everything (placemats, centerpieces, plates, etc.). I’ve used rectangle placemats in the past, and just did not love how it looked.
