If you ask my family, boyfriend, close friends, they will probably all agree that I am a high stress individual. I stress about everything, and even though I know I need to chill, I struggle. My go to therapy used to be going to sit on the beach for a few hours, but now that I live 2.5 hours from the coast I’ve had to come up with some other methods to help me de-stress.
My basement (AKA my babe cave) has been the longest on-going transformation in my house. When I moved in, it was the home of hand-me-down and cheap furniture. Slowly over the last year and a half, I have been able to save up and purchase new furniture or receive new fixtures as gifts, and it has made a huge difference in the space!
One of my New Year’s goals was to read a book a month. I am happy to say that one the last day of January, I have finished 1 book! The first book I read this year was “Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis. I feel like I’m way behind on this book, but I can see why everyone enjoyed it.

I’ve watched enough HGTV in my 24 years of life to know that bathrooms and kitchens are what sell houses, so before I moved in, my mom and I prioritized these two spaces and made upgrades. However, I also know from my HGTV experience that you don’t want to invest too much into a house that has a “ceiling” for how much you can sell it for.
