Thank goodness February is over! It may be the shortest month, but it sure does drag on. Especially when it rains almost every day! The book I chose to read this month was The Last Castle: The Epic Story of Love, Loss, and American Royalty in the World’s Largest Home by Denise Kiernan.
We are 2 days away from March, which means we are only a few short weeks away from warmer weather. I cannot wait!!! I figured it was time to start planning how I am going to decorate my back patio.
Wallpaper has been everywhere recently, and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. I was listening to Young House Love Has a Podcast and they mentioned ways to add happiness. One suggestion was to add wallpaper to smaller rooms or closets in your home. This gave me the idea to wallpaper the back wall of my laundry room.

Happy Sunday!! It has rained non stop in Raleigh for the past week, so I have not gotten much done around the house to post about. I decided a beauty related post would be a nice change of pace.
Today was an exciting day for me and my career. I started a new position at a new company today, and I am so excited. I am doing a very similar job to what I was doing at my old company, but this organization is smaller and it just feels like a better fit!

Last week in Charleston, my mom and I (mostly my idea) decided we wanted to check out the new Hotel Bennet on King Street. After perusing their website for a few minutes, I stumbled across the page for their Champagne Bar called Camellias. I noticed they offered an afternoon tea three times a week, so my mom got on Open Table and booked us a reservation for Valentine’s Day. They only have 5-6 tables, so a reservation is required!!
