Hi everyone! We’re kickstarting the first full work week of the new year, but I’m still dreaming about my New Year’s Eve dinner at Tradd’s in Charleston, South Carolina.
Tradd’s is a new restaurant on Easy Bay, and it is gorgeous!! It has a modern vibe with animal print accents and beautiful bright art pieces. Unfortunately (for my blog, not for them), they were packed on New Year’s Eve, so I couldn’t get too many pictures. Besides the aesthetics being amazing, the food was also incredible.
We started the evening with oysters on the half shell and escargot. I’ve never had escargot, so I was a little skeptical but they were so good. I was pleasantly surprised and wish I’d had more. The oysters were also delicious. They had multiple cold water oysters to chose from, which I enjoyed.
All of us loved our entrees. Clark has seared scallops, my stepdad had the Dry-Aged Ribeye, and my mom and I each had the Lobster Gnocci. For sides we had brussel sprouts and french fries, which were both good.
For dessert we split the Caramel Tart and Deliciously Dark Chocolate Cake. The Caramel Tart was sooo good; I wish I could eat it every day, but I am pretty sure I’d end up being 1,000 pounds.
The service was also great! We were served water immediately when we were seated and our drink orders were taken promptly. The waitress was very attentive, but not overbearing or annoying. I’d highly suggest checking out this place the next time you are in Charleston!
