My 9 Favorite Paleo Snacks

January 11, 2019

Happy Friday! It’s the new year, so I know a lot of people are trying to eat healthier. I’ve done Whole 30 a handful of times, and I love the way I feel when I do it. So this year, I’ve decided to eat a paleo based diet to try to balance my hormones and feel better overall. I don’t want to say I’m full on paleo because I know that will set me up for failure in the long run. I plan to follow this way of eating about 80% of the time and give myself some wiggle room and weekly Chiken Minis from Chick Fil A.

To sum up paleo, you don’t eat grains, dairy, soy, legumes, corn, and sugar. I am sure I am forgetting rules, but those are the main ones that stick out to me. I am no expert, so if some of these items have “off limits” ingredients, I am sorry!! Most of these foods, if not all, can be found at Whole Foods!

1. Siete Grain Free Tortilla Chips

I recently discovered this brand and I am loving them! Since corn is not allowed in paleo, I haven’t been able to eat chips and salsa, which are my fav!

2. Siete Cashew Queso

The same brand that makes the tortilla chips also has paleo vegan queso, and it is so good!! I bought a jar on Tuesday and it is already almost gone!

3. Nuts

These 100 calorie packs of nuts are so easy to throw into my lunch bag or purse. They’re surprisingly filling for nuts! My favorites are the almonds and salt and cracked pepper cashews.

4. Rx Bars

I don’t think I could be paleo without these! I eat at least one a day. They are all natural, and so yummy! My favorite flavors are the mint chocolate, coffee chocolate, and pumpkin spice.

5. Siete Grain Free Tortillas

Another Siete product and another lifesaver! These make breakfast tacos so good!

6. Pickles

Okay, so you don’t necessarily need to get these in little packs, but it makes it a lot easier to pack them for lunch! I like to snack on pickles when I’m craving chips or something salty and crunchy.

7. Epic Pork Rinds

These are my easy Cheetos replacement, but I try to limit how often I eat them or else I’d over indulge. They are also have almost no carbs, so they’re great for Keto also.

8. Wholly Guacamole Cups

Guac and carrots. You’re welcome! These are also great for adding avocado to a salad but not wanting to worry about the avocado going bad!

9. Bare Coconut Chips

I am not sure if these are actually paleo. They don’t have sugar, but they do have coconut nectar. Either way, these have been my lifesaver when my sweet tooth kicks in at night.

Welcome to Bluebonnet Porch! I’m Clare, a 30 year old newlywed living in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two dogs! I bought my (well, now I guess it’s our’s) house in 2020 when I was a single 25 year old and have spent the last 4 years renovating it and making it my dream house! It is a 100ish year old craftsman bungalow in Downton Raleigh, North Carolina, and I pinch myself every day that I get to live here.

I love all things home decor, DIY, food, entertaining, reading, and working out, and I can’t wait to share more about my life with y’all!
