My 2018 Halloween Home Tour

October 11, 2018

Boo!! It’s spooky how quickly October snuck up on us! I usually decorate for Halloween on October 1st, but this year I wanted to keep my fall decor out (check it out: here) a little longer.I kept my fall decor very neutral, but I love orange, black, purple, and everything in between for Halloween! I’ve been collecting decor for the last 2 or 3 years so you can’t get some of the pieces I have, but I’ll link what I can in the captions of the pictures.

Gathered Tradition: Winnie the Witch

I inherit a lot of my style and get tons of inspiration from my mom and Grandma. They both collect these Gathered Traditions dolls, so last year I started my own collection. This witch was a gift from my Grandma, and I think she is adorable. I felt like she was enough of a focal point to be the only thing I added in the room.

Gathered Traditions: Tatum Pumpkin Girl and Todd Pumpkin Girl. Black Pumpkin: Target

On my mantle, I have my other two Gathered Tradition’s dolls. These two are still available, so click the clink under the picture and search for their names! I wanted them to be the centerpiece of my mantle, so I placed them on either side of this adorable black pumpkin from Target.

Similar Candlesticks: Michael’s

I balanced either side of my mantle with a black lantern that I got a few years ago at Hobby Lobby, and these candle sticks. I got the candlesticks from Michael’s last year, but I linked a very similar pair. The books were actually a DIY project that cost less than $5 and was super easy! Look out for a blog post about them on Friday!! I absolutely love how they came out and they worked perfectly to balance the candle sticks’ height with the lantern’s.

My coffee table stayed pretty simple. I switched out my grey and white pumpkins with some miscellaneous black, purple, and silver pumpkins I had laying around.

I added this “Beware” pillow to my couch that I got from Kirkland’s last year. Unfortunately, they don’t have it this year, but you should go check out all of their other cute pillows!!

Purple Skull: Target. Mini Pumpkins: Target.

My corner shelf was super fun to decorate! I put these Target Dollar Spot pumpkins in my hurricane jar; the purple skull on the top shelf is also from Target (surprise surprise). Finally, I added a fabric pumpkin I made to the books on the bottom shelf. Overall, I think all of the decor on my shelf added just the right amount of halloween spirit to my house!

Welcome to Bluebonnet Porch! I’m Clare, a 30 year old newlywed living in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two dogs! I bought my (well, now I guess it’s our’s) house in 2020 when I was a single 25 year old and have spent the last 4 years renovating it and making it my dream house! It is a 100ish year old craftsman bungalow in Downton Raleigh, North Carolina, and I pinch myself every day that I get to live here.

I love all things home decor, DIY, food, entertaining, reading, and working out, and I can’t wait to share more about my life with y’all!
