My master bedroom has gone through many looks over the last 2 years, but I finally think I have it to a place where I like it! I stuck with neutral decor, but went lighter than my previous bedding to brighten up the room. It is definitely a risk with a black lab, but I’ll share all my dog hair removal tips in a future post.
The biggest driving factor to re-decorating my room was getting a new bed. I am loving my king sized bed, and I’m so glad I got smaller nightstands to flank it, so that the room isn’t too cluttered. I also moved the dresser that used to be my TV stand up to my room because I wanted more of a black and white furniture palette (I love black and white, and it shows).
The last furniture piece I added to the room was the little black bench along the wall between the bathroom and door. My mom actually found this bench at Home Goods, but it was stained a cherry oak color. I sanded it down and spray painted it with black chalk paint; I think it looks adorable and is perfect for that space!
Overall the neutral room is perfect for me, but I do have a little bit of color in the florals and art on my walls. The painting above my bench was a home goods find, and the framed painting by the windows is a print my mom picked up in Scotland last year. It is a painting of “oreo cows,” and it makes me so happy!
I hope y’all enjoyed my neutral room makeover! I will be back in a few days with another post!

I love your aesthetic! Would you mind sharing what color belgian flax king sham you bought (ivory or white)? I have grey walls. I was thinking of doing what you’ve done with the grey color ways. Or do you think the color you have would be better? (I have white nightstands)
