Hi y’all! I feel like I’ve really fallen off the blogging game over the last year, but I really want to get back into it and make it a priority again. I figured what better way to jump back in then giving my very small group of readers a little life update!
The most exciting update is that I GOT MY REAL ESTATE LICENSE! I decided last September in the height of COVID and lockdowns that it would be fun to get my real estate license. I jumped into some online classes and it took me until this month to actually finish all the classes and pass my exam, but I officially got my certificate of licensure in the mail last week and I am so happy. I have no plans to leave my full time job, so I am still trying to figure out my next steps and how I want to use my license, but at least I have it now and I don’t have to worry about studying for that exam anymore!
Speaking of work and career, my job has been so hectic and busy this year! I was promoted to a manager a few months ago, so my day to day has changed drastically to what it was just a few months ago. I am lucky to still be able to manage the team I’ve had in India (they’ve been under me for about a year and a half!), and I was also able to add a group of US based employees to my team. It has been the most amazing and rewarding experience to be a manager, and I love it more than I thought I would!
My house projects slowed down a little bit between the studying and promotion, but I’ve recently jumped back in to changing my decor and making my space more functional. My dad and I are still working on converting my shed into a gym, and I will have an update post on that soon as well. I have a whole laundry list of huge renovations I want to complete sometime in the future, but for now the shed is my main priority and I’m doing a lot of little projects to fill my time.
I have also found a new love in planning events. I am pumped to be the Maid of Honor for my best friend and was able to throw her and her fiancé an engagement party in June (post to come on that). This made me realize how much fun it is to plan an event! I have come up with a million ideas on events that I could plan and about half as many potential business ideas. I have an entrepreneurial heart and want to eventually have my own business of some sort.
Travel has also re-entered my life after a year of COVID limiting where I could go. Last year, we went to Glacier National Park in Montana, and I loved every second of it! I’ve gone on a few small trips with my boyfriend this year; Wrightsville Beach, Asheville, Charleston, but so far only driving distance locations. However, next month a few friends and I are headed to Hawaii for a week!! I have never been, but it’s always been a bucket list location. Any Maui recommendations are much appreciated!
I’ve decided to not stress myself out about what to write on here. If an idea comes to mind, I’m going to post about it; whether that be travel, home decor, or just life in general. I hope you all enjoy the ride and please subscribe so you never miss a post!!
