Before and After: Lance’s Masculine Man Cave Office

May 24, 2022

I can’t be the only one that cringes at the term “man cave.” I typically picture a room that the store Sports Fanatics threw up in. So when I decided to turn one of my spare bedrooms into an office for my boyfriend, Lance, I made it my mission to make it a masculine man cave vibe without being tacky.

Before

After

Lance is what I would describe as a “guys guy”. He is an avid golfer, huge Green Bay Packers fan, a bourbon connoisseur, and a Texas Longhorn fan (which is why I fell for him). I wanted to incorporate all of his interests into his office, but I didn’t want to sacrifice style. However, I did allow the cheese head to make its way into the room. I feel like I accomplished my goal and kept it classy, but still very much “Lance.”

This reveal was a long time coming; it took me 5 months to finish this space, but I think it was well worth it, and if Lance still wants to work on his couch, I’ll just make this my office!

He’s waiting to see the finished room. Very nicely done!

I love all the light that his man cave gets. The wall color is pretty too. Thanks for sharing with us!

Welcome to Bluebonnet Porch! I’m Clare, a 30 year old newlywed living in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two dogs! I bought my (well, now I guess it’s our’s) house in 2020 when I was a single 25 year old and have spent the last 4 years renovating it and making it my dream house! It is a 100ish year old craftsman bungalow in Downton Raleigh, North Carolina, and I pinch myself every day that I get to live here.

I love all things home decor, DIY, food, entertaining, reading, and working out, and I can’t wait to share more about my life with y’all!
