My New Bar Cart (and How I Styled it for Thanksgiving)

November 12, 2018

When I first moved into my house, the first thing I bought was a “bar cart.” I shared it in my Halloween Bar Cart post, but it wasn’t actually a bar cart at all. It was a utility cart I bought at TJ Maxx and just styled to be a bar cart. Well, I recently sold my old kitchen island that had storage for my wine glasses, so I needed to come up with a new storage plan for those. I am lacking cabinet space because I’m a hoarder and love kitchen gadgets. I decided to look into getting a new bar cart and found the perfect one on Amazon of all places! I purchased the Linon Austin Kitchen Cart and it arrived in two days (Amazon Prime is the best thing to happen since sliced bread). This bar cart is very farmhousey and has storage for 4 bottles of wine and 8 wine glasses, which is perfect! I was able to fit my 4 red wine glasses and 4 white wine glasses on the rack and had enough room underneath for my stemless glasses. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble with a little help from Clark. It came with three hooks that you can put on the side of the cart opposite the handle, but I decided I wouldn’t use those and put them away.

Of course, I immediately styled the cart once it was assembled. I decided to give Thanksgiving a little love, and even though it looks a little bare, I thought I’d share with y’all anyways.

xx Clare

Welcome to Bluebonnet Porch! I’m Clare, a 30 year old newlywed living in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two dogs! I bought my (well, now I guess it’s our’s) house in 2020 when I was a single 25 year old and have spent the last 4 years renovating it and making it my dream house! It is a 100ish year old craftsman bungalow in Downton Raleigh, North Carolina, and I pinch myself every day that I get to live here.

I love all things home decor, DIY, food, entertaining, reading, and working out, and I can’t wait to share more about my life with y’all!
