2018 Traditional Christmas Tablescape

November 27, 2018

I’m almost done decorating for Christmas!! I can’t wait to share my full holiday home tour with y’all, but today I’ll start with showing you my Christmas Tablescape. I kept a very traditional color palate this year, and incorporated a little DIY into my table.

I have a Silhouette cutting machine, and use it a ton! I had a vision for plates with simple red words on it, so I cut vinyl “Christmasy” words and placed them on $2 plates from Target. I used the font Laughing and Smiling.

The napkins and placemats are both from Home Goods, so I cannot link them. However, I’ve seen similar placemats at Target and plaid napkins are pretty easy to find this time of year. I have a lot of farmhouse style decor, so I felt that the plaid worked nicely in the space!

I don’t usually use place cards, but I saw these little trees at Michael’s and couldn’t pass them up! My place cards are currently blank because I don’t know my Christmas plans just yet, so I’ll have to fill them in closer to the big day.

My centerpiece is very similar to what I did for Thanksgiving (see it here). I loved how simple my Thanksgiving one was, so I decided to do something similar for Christmas. I filled the same hurricane jar I used previously with small Christmas ball ornaments from Target!

Sources: Place Card Holders. Ornaments in Centerpiece. Similar Placemats. Similar Napkins.

xx Clare

Welcome to Bluebonnet Porch! I’m Clare, a 30 year old newlywed living in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two dogs! I bought my (well, now I guess it’s our’s) house in 2020 when I was a single 25 year old and have spent the last 4 years renovating it and making it my dream house! It is a 100ish year old craftsman bungalow in Downton Raleigh, North Carolina, and I pinch myself every day that I get to live here.

I love all things home decor, DIY, food, entertaining, reading, and working out, and I can’t wait to share more about my life with y’all!
