2018 Gift Guide for Him

November 24, 2018

Happy Saturday! I am back with another gift guide, but this time for the men in your life. I always find it hard to buy for my dad, brother (Greg), and boyfriend (Clark), so while I had them all together yesterday, I picked their brain for good gift ideas that they would actually like and use! If you haven’t seen my other gift guides check them out under the Christmas section of my blog here.

  1. Barbour Cole Waxed Cotton Jacket
My boyfriend, Clark, has a jacket addiction, but of all of his jackets this one is his favorite! His Barbour Jacket was handed down to him by his grandfather, and is still in amazing condition. He gets it waxed every once in a while to keep it in great shape, but it is well worth the price and a great option for any guy who is in need of a nice coat.
  2. Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee Maker
If you’re buying for a coffee lover, I’d 100% recommend the Nespresso over a Keurig any day. Clark received this coffee maker from his parents last year and its amazing! It was by far his favorite gift, and the coffee is sooooo good! The pods aren’t as easily accessible as K-cups, but they have a good selection online and are much prettier.
  3. Personalized Leather Business Card Holder
Before Clark was in law school, he was in sales and was constantly giving and collecting business cards. He said a business card holder would have been a lifesaver!
  4. BBQ Tool Set with Case
For any guy that loves to grill, a good tool kit would probably be great for them! Clark bought himself one similar to this last year to use on the grill at my house and he says it was a great buy! (and it would be easy to wrap!)
  5. 10-piece Bartending Kit
This is one of those things that I saw and thought would be a cool gift, but I wasn’t sure. I asked my brother and he agreed that it would be something he wouldn’t mind receiving. This would also make a great host/hostess gift too.
  6. Stainless Steel Bullet Shaped Whisky Stones
This is one of those random things that my boyfriend found on Amazon and thought they were so cool! He probably won’t be getting these from me, but they would be a cool stocking stuffer.
  7. Jakan Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds
My dad and boyfriend recommended wireless earbuds for working out! These aren’t too expensive, but still had good reviews. My dad particularly likes that the two ear buds are connected, so he’s less likely to lose them.
  8. adidas Ultraboost Shoes
We’re an adidas family; my brother, Greg, worked at an adidas store for a year and a half, and we took advantage of his family discount. Almost everyone in my family has a pair of Ultraboosts and we all love them! Greg says they are the best seller for all ages, genders, and workout styles!
  9. Nintendo Switch
I hope Clark doesn’t read this, but I’m sure he’s not going to be surprised to find the Nintendo Switch under the tree on Christmas. My brother loves his, and Clark’s Playstation 2 is a little outdated. I am actually really excited for this gift too since I can play it also and there isn’t a shortage of Mario games!
  10. Lululemon Pace Breaker Shorts
I bought these for Clark for his birthday, and he liked them but would never buy them for himself. It was a great gift though because they’re the only pair of workout shorts he has that haven’t broken or needed to be replaced. Spend a little extra on stuff for your man that he won’t buy himself; it’ll be worth it in the end!
  11. 23 & Me DNA Test
This is a gift that may not be great for every guy, but some would love! My grandpa got a DNA test a few years ago for Christmas and ever since then he has been tracking our family back as far as he can get. I think it’d be a fun gift for the history nerds in your life!

I hope you found some helpful ideas on here for your Christmas shopping this year! There are tons of good deals on a lot of this stuff this weekend, so make sure you check them out!!

xx Clare

Welcome to Bluebonnet Porch! I’m Clare, a 30 year old newlywed living in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two dogs! I bought my (well, now I guess it’s our’s) house in 2020 when I was a single 25 year old and have spent the last 4 years renovating it and making it my dream house! It is a 100ish year old craftsman bungalow in Downton Raleigh, North Carolina, and I pinch myself every day that I get to live here.

I love all things home decor, DIY, food, entertaining, reading, and working out, and I can’t wait to share more about my life with y’all!
